Day 1. Arrive Delhi
On arrival at Delhi Airport, meet India Luxury Train representative who will assist the hotel transfers for overnight stay.
Day 2. Delhi- Jaipur by Train Ajmer Shatabadi Exp (12015, 06:05/10:30 hours)
Early morning on time transfer to New Delhi Railway Station to board the superfast train for Jaipur. Upon arrival at Jaipur Railway Station, meet & greet our representative and avail assisted transfer to hotel for comfortable check-in. Afternoon is at leisure. You can explore the local markets. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3. Jaipur
Early morning, begin an excursion to Amber Fort, the fort illustrating the majesty of the capital royale, Jaipur. Set in a picturesque panorama, Amber Fort epitomizes an intricate blend of Hindu and Muslim architectural influences. Built in the 16th century by Raja Mansingh in red sandstone and white marble, the palace complex consists of many interesting structures including Jai Mandir, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Niwas, Ganesh Pol and Temple of Kali. Ride of the royals on Elephants back can also be availed while ascending the fort complex of Amber Fort. (Between 07:30 am – 11:30 am, subject to availability).
Afternoon begin exploring the city royale in great fervour. This city, built as per Vastu Shastra is based on proper planning as per Indian architectural aesthetics. The constructor of this city, Maharaja Jai Singh was also a notable astronomer, who invested all his architectural know how into creating this elegant pink city. Explore the rich essence of the city with a visit to Maharaja’s City Palace, the home of the erstwhile royal family, Observatory or Jantar Mantar, Ram Niwas Gardens and Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh & the old part of Jaipur. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4. Jaipur- Bharatpur - Fatehpur Sikhri - Agra By JP AF Shatabadi Exp (12035, 07:05 / 09:22 hours)
(Note: this train JP does not operate on every Thursday.) Early morning, begin your enchanting journey on day 4, the superfast way via Shatabdi Express. Transfer to Jaipur Railway Station to board train for Bharatpur. Upon arrival at Bharatpur Railway Station, meet our tour guide and direct proceed for sightseeing of Bharatpur Bird sanctuary, famous as a haven for birds. Later, proceed to Fatehpur Sikhri, the old Mughal Fort still preserved in good condition. Later proceed to Agra (45 kms 1 1/2 hrs) by road and check into hotel in Agra.
Day 5. Agra / Delhi
Morning visit Taj Mahal. Agra, the home of the indomitable spirit of Taj Mahal is the first extravagant expression of love in the history of time. Commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan for his queen Mumtaz Mahal, this great example of architecture is still considered an example of ethereal love amongst lovers. (The Taj Mahal remains closed on every FRIDAY.) Later visit Agra Fort, an imposing structure on the banks of River Yamuna, replete with priceless examples of craftsmanship in the Mughal period is still considered a center of Mughal glory and splendour. After the sightseeing is over, transfer to Agra Cantt Railway Station in evening and board train for Delhi. Upon arrival at New Delhi Railway Station, Meet our representative who will transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6. Delhi City Tour – Onward Destination
Post breakfast; welcome the fresh day in Delhi with its unique sightseeing around its old and new specimens of heritage. With a tour guide’s assistance, proceed towards Red Fort, a world heritage site constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan with a motive to construct a resident capital in Delhi. (Closed on every MONDAY) Facing the Red Fort is the medieval imperial avenue known as Chandni Chowk. While passing through alleyways that endured the test of time and modernity, end up the heritage walk at Jama Masjid. This is the largest Muslim mosque, not only in India but in Asia.
Enjoy the Rickshaw ride passing through the narrow streets in Old Delhi. Finishing the visit through the Old Delhi heritage, begin exploring New Delhi, the center of modern day power. Continue discovering Delhi through a visit to Qutab Minar, Humayun’s Tomb and India Gate, a 42 meters archway built for memorial of Indian soldiers killed during the First World War. Watch the famous War Memorial Arch and see the contrast between old and New Delhi.
Continue the tour in detail with a drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan. It was initially constructed as the Imperial residence of the Viceroy in the early 20th century. Nowadays, it is the current residence of the President of India and Parliament House. This unique circular architecture was built with huge colonnades which house the Upper and Lower House of Parliament. Finally, move to the Government secretariat buildings at Connaught Place where the heart of New Delhi as well as the busy shopping centre. Later on time transfer to International airport to board flight for onward destination.
