Day 1. Arrive Delhi

Morning transfer to Railway Station to board Train # 2011 Kalka Shatabdi Express dep. 07:40 hrs arrive Kalka at 12:00 hrs. Later connect Train # 255 Himalayan Queen Mountain Toy Train trailing through the tunnels at 12:10 hrs. / Arrive Shimla at 17:20 hrs. Rest day free for leisure. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 4. Shimla

Explore Shimla, the erstwhile British summer retreat on your own. You can walk past the Mall, a busy shopping hub famed for old colonial buildings, hotels and restaurants. You can even avail the opportunity to find out the souvenirs, handicrafts, embroidered and sequined shawls, trademark caps right from the heart of Himachal Pradesh.

The must visit points of Shimla tour on day 4 include Scandal Point, Christ Church, Viceregal Lodge, Jakhoo Hill, Himachal Museum and picnic spots of Annandale-The Glen. Scandal Point has its share of tantalizing mystery, making it the most controversial spot of this hill station. This point is nothing but a large open square offering splendid views of the town. This spot was the meeting point of the Maharaja (ruler) of Patiala and the daughter of the British Viceroy who eloped against his wishes. Now this is a favourite rendezvous for visitors and local people.

Overlooking this point is the second oldest church in North India, Christ Church known for its fine stained glass windows and neo-Gothic style.

Located on the ridge, the church stands out as one of the prominent landmarks of Shimla. Located on the Observatory hills of Shimla, Viceregal Lodge exudes the gothic splendour in this summer retreat. Built as an official residence for the British Viceroy, the lodge is one of the major landmarks of this hill station. Today, this lodge building serves as a campus for the Indian Institute of Advanced Study.

Day 5. In Shimla

Another day in Shimla is free to explore on your own. Begin the day with a trek to Summer Hill, the quiet and beautiful suburb of the valley known for its remarkable hills, shady walks and charming views. Located on the Shimla-Kalka railway line, the quiet and beautiful suburb also features an elegant Georgian mansion owned by Rajkumari Amrit Kaur that used to accommodate Gandhiji during his visits.

Located 7 km away from Shimla, Chadwick Falls is an inviting spot featuring cascading waterfall. Prospect Hill is another fulfilling retreat excursion from Shimla. Sanjauli is also a serene location famous for delightful walks and is an ideal option to spend a tranquil weekend. You can venture out at the apple orchards and lovely gardens of Mashobra and Naldehra or sit besides the gentle gurgling streams of Shimla.

Day 6. Shimla

The whole day is free to relax or to explore the city by own.

Day 7. Shimla - Kalka - Delhi

Morning is free at leisure. In afternoon, drive to Kalka Railway Station (about 2 ½ hr) and connect Train # 2012 Kalka Shatabdi Express dep. 17:30 hrs. Arr. New Delhi at 21:40 hrs. Later transfer to international airport to connect flight for onward destination.
