The journey through the different glorious kingdoms of Indian panorama begins with the city of djinns, Delhi as a base city. From there, passengers board on to the trail with a seasoned royalty to visit the many kingdoms of Indian panorama. Extending itself from the Mughal reigns of Delhi and Agra, the luxury train tour escalates towards the ecstatic kingdoms of Rajputana – Ranthambore, Jaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur and Udaipur. Day 01. Delhi Arrival 20:30 – Departure 22:00 hrs
Begin the journey of glory and magnificence through The Indian Splendour from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station. On arrival at station, be ready to experience the traditional Indian welcome suffused with the music, dance and drinks celebrating the majestic royal journey of life. On completion of formalities, enter one of the most awaited experiences of life, the Maharajas’ Express Train enroute the Indian Splendour.
Upon boarding the train, explore the train as passengers will be guided to their respective coupe with luggage assistance. This first impression will be amazingly an awe-inspiring delight where the intricately designed interiors transfer you to the majestic grandeur of the then Indian kingdoms.
The personal suites or coupes are not behind this immaculate expression. Furnished with indulgent interiors, exclusive paintings, theme-coordinated decors, these personal cabins are meant just for the respected king or queen in you. The train will leave for Agra at 22:00 hours.
Day 2. Agra
Arrive Agra early in the morning and capture the beauty of Taj Mahal wrapped in the hues of the rising sun. A jewel of Mughal Architecture and splendour, Taj represents the indomitable spirit of India. This treasured experience complimented with an endearing breakfast session and champagne at the Taj Khema overlooking Taj Mahal constitutes the great attraction of the day. Later this day, passengers will have an option of shopping in Agra or explore the city in great detail through Itmad-ud-Daula tomb and Fatehpur Sikri, a planned town of the city. During shopping, tourists can obtain the Pietra Dura coasters or other decorative showpieces created by the use of stone cutting and inlay technique. Post lunch, a visit to Agra Fort will be a rich experience taking passengers through the scepter of scintillating Mughal legacy.
Return to The Indian Splendour train for sumptuous dinner and retire to the exclusive coupes as the train leads passengers to Ranthambore National Park, the next destination of the itinerary schedule.
Day 3. Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore National Park) – Jaipur
Begin the day of excitement with a thrilling game safari to Ranthambore National Park. Famous for spotting tigers, the wildlife park supports a diverse range of flora and fauna. After this enriching experience, depart to Jaipur as passengers enjoy the lavish brunch on board. Upon the arrival in this colourful pink city, indulge in the famous shopping and local excursion of forts of Jaipur. Also, experience the laidback spree of observing an Exhibition Elephant Polo Match. Passengers can even participate in this polo match by sitting on the back of royal elephant. Return to train for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4. Bikaner
Early morning arrival in Bikaner, the desert city famous for its desserts and snacks. After deboarding the train, there are two ways to explore the city. One way goes through capturing the cultural essence of Rajasthan via a visit to Lalgarh Palace/ Rat Temple at Deshnok/ Cattle Breeding Farm.
In the afternoon, visit the majestic Junagarh Fort in Bikaner. After lunch, participate in a camel cart procession around the mystical sand dunes. Later in the evening, enjoy the folk dance performance by Kalbeliyas and Langaas over sundowner and barbecue dinner amidst the vast expanse of Sam sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in the Indian Splendour train.
Day 5. Jodhpur
After a laidback breakfast, embark on cultural trail to Jodhpur, the city with blue hues. Embark on a jeep safari to a Bishnoi village called Rohetgarh for an enriched cultural experience. Rohet is known for its strong animal connections where Black Buck Antelopes and Chinkaras are not only found but exist in tune with the mankind. Enjoy Lunch at Rohetgarh. Later embark on an excursion to Mehrangarh Fort and Old Clock Tower Market; the power bastions of Jodhpur kingdom. These monuments are resplendent with legends of heritage and cultural essence. Dinner is scheduled at an exclusive private venue. Post dinner, return to the train for overnight stay.

Day 6. Udaipur
Day 6 of the Indian Splendour will take you to marvellous city of marble palaces, Udaipur. This idyllic city is famed for its dream like persona and fabled palaces cum hotels standing in the middle of Lake Pichola. Post breakfast, visit City Palace and Crystal Gallery. The City Palace of Udaipur has been the proud backdrop of many Hollywood movies and is a structural specimen of marble and masonry. Crystal Palace is nothing but a museum where everything right from crystal chairs, dressing tables, sofas, tables, chairs, beds, table fountains and lastly crockery are displayed.
After a gala lunch in Udaipur, a guided walking tour of old bazaar of Udaipur or visit the 'Vintage car collection' of the royal family. Dinner and overnight stay onboard the train.
Day 7. Balasinor
On the 7th day of the tour itinerary, detour towards Balasinor, a small kingdom in Gujarat famous worldwide for its ancient dinosaur fossil remains. A home to India's Jurassic park, here passengers can find the fossil remains of almost seven kinds of dinosaurs. Post breakfast; embark on an exciting excursion to the Dinosaur Fossil Park followed by a visit to the local village. Meet the royal family of Balasinor over a royal lunch. Post this rarest experience, return to the pampering of Maharajas Express train for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8. Mumbai

Accommodation – The accommodation of Maharajas' Express Train features four cabin configurations (Deluxe Cabin, Junior Suite, Suite and Presidential Suite). Named on the precious gems of India, the train is best suited to provide the grand touring experience. Deluxe Cabin is spread over 112 sq ft area offering twin/double bed cabins with attached bathroom. This cabin can accommodate 40 passengers. Junior Suite comes up with 150 sq ft area featuring twin/double bed accommodation along with writing table and an attached bath facility. The accommodation can hold over 36 passengers during the journey. The Suite comes equipped with a separate living and double bedroom areas over an area of 220 sq ft area. This accommodation also features the attached bath with bathtub as a luxurious option. This Suite can hold only 8 passengers in its luxurious setting. The largest suite of Maharajas' Express, Presidential Suite is the grandest accommodation on a luxury train ever. The coupe is spread over an area of 448 sq ft having two bedrooms, two attached bath; one of them having a bathtub and a living cum dining room.
